Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar’s cumulative tally rose to 10,908 on Thursday, as 206 more people tested positive of Covid-19 in the district, according to the official data.

As many as 165 patients were treated and discharged during the 24 hours period, taking the district’s overall recoveries to 8,856, the health bulletin said.

The district’s recovery rate remained 81.18 per cent as it was on the previous day. It was 81.14 per cent on Tuesday, 80.38 per cent on Monday, 79.82 per cent on Sunday, 79.63 per cent, 80.04 per cent on Friday, and 80.55 per cent on Thursday, the data showed.

The number of active cases further rose to 2,004 from 1,966 on Wednesday. It was 1,928 on Tuesday, 1,979 on Monday, 2,008 on Sunday, 1,990 on Saturday, 1,909 on Friday, and 1,820 on Thursday, as per the data.

The death toll counted to 48 in the district and the fatality rate among the positive cases remained 0.44 per cent as it was on Wednesday, it showed.

No death linked to coronavirus has been recorded since September 9 and the district’s fatality rate is among the lowest in the state.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 6,318 new cases, pushing the state’s infection count to 3,36,294, while the death toll rose to 4,771 as 81 patients succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

Of the state’s total caseload, there are 68,235 active cases, while 2,63,288 patients have been recovered so far. The state’s recovery rate counted to 78.29 per cent, while the mortality rate stood at 1.42 per cent.
