Gurugram: Gurugram recorded 394 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, pushing the district’s cumulative tally to 16,724 on Thursday, according to the district health department.

The district’s overall recoveries counted to 13,851 after 328 patients were treated and discharged during the last 24 hours period with a recovery rate of 82.82 per cent, the health bulletin said.

The number of active cases further rose to 2,720 from 2,654 on Wednesday. It was 2,439 on Tuesday, 2,317 on Monday, and 2,232 on Sunday, as per data.

Of the total active cases, 25 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 193 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. 36 are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 2,466 patients are in home isolation.

So far, the deadly disease has claimed 153 lives in the district, of whom 108 patients had co-morbidities, while 45 patients had no known disease.

Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 2,457 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 1,03,773, while the death toll rose to 1,069 as 24 more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

Of the state’s total caseload, 81,690 patients have been recovered so far, while the total number of active cases stood at 21,014.

The state’s recovery rate counted to 78.72 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.54 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.03 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 27 days.
