Gurugram: Gurugram on Friday breached 17,000 mark of Covid-19 count after it recorded 339 fresh cases, pushing the district’s cumulative tally to 17,063, according to the district health department.

Also, three more persons succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours, taking the district’s death toll to 156, the health bulletin said.

As many as 301 patients were treated and discharged during the day, taking the overall recoveries to 14,152. The recovery rate slightly improved to 82.93 per cent from 82.82 per cent on Thursday, it said.

The number of active cases further rose to 2,755 from 2,720 on Thursday. It was 2,654 on Wednesday, 2,439 on Tuesday, 2,317 on Monday, and 2,232 on Sunday, as per data.

Of the total active cases, 28 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 187 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. 37 are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 2,503 patients are in home isolation.

Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 2,488 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 1,06,261, while the death toll rose to 1,092 as 23 more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

Of the state’s total caseload, 83,878 patients have been recovered so far, while the total number of active cases stood at 21,291.

The state’s recovery rate counted to 78.94 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.57 per cent. 

The fatality rate stood at 1.03 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 27 days.
