Gurugram: Gurugram recorded 360 new cases of Covid-19 on Saturday, taking the district’s infection count to 17,423, according to the district health department.

Also, three more persons succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours, taking the district’s death toll to 159, the health bulletin said.

The district’s overall recoveries counted to 14,483 after 331 patients were treated and discharged during the 24 hours period with a recovery rate of 83.12 per cent. It was 82.93 per cent on Friday and 82.82 per cent on Thursday, it said.

The number of active cases slightly increased to 2,781 from 2,755 on Friday. It was 2,720 on Thursday, 2,654 on Wednesday, 2,439 on Tuesday, and 2,317 on Monday, as per data.

Of the total active cases, 26 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 196 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. 37 are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 2,522 patients are in home isolation.

Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 2,691 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 1,08,952, while the death toll rose to 1,120 as 28 more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

Of the state’s total caseload, 86,150 patients have been recovered so far, while the total number of active cases stood at 21,682.

The state’s recovery rate counted to 79.04 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.62 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.03 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 26 days.
