Greater Noida: With an objective to boost growth in the region, the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) on Saturday decided to allot as many as 19 plots for information technology (IT) businesses, IT-enabled services (ITES), business process outsourcing (BPO) and call centres in Techzone and Knowledge Park sectors.
As per the officials, the move has been taken to revive the authority’s coffers which has been hit badly due to the coronavirus pandemic.
There are four plots, measuring at least 25 acres in size, reserved for large IT and ITES companies whereas the remaining plots, measuring 500 sqm and 1,000 sqm in size, are reserved for BPOs and KPOs.
“If the project involves Rs 200 crore of investment then as per the UP industrial policy - 2017, the investor can approach the state additional chief secretary of ITES or IT or the Greater Noida chief executive officer,” an official said.
As per the authority’s officials, the companies, which have background and expertise in running a technology company, will be given preference in allotment of plots.
