Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar recorded 77 fresh cases of Covid-19, pushing the district’s cumulative tally to 11,419 on Monday, according to the official data.

The overall recoveries jumped to 9,792 after 177 more patients were treated and discharged during the 24 hours period. It is the fourth consecutive day when the daily number of recoveries exceeded the new positive cases.

The number of active cases further dropped to 1,578 from 1,678 on Sunday. It was 1,979 on last Monday, as per the data.

The district’s death toll counted to 49 and the fatality rate among the positive cases remained at 0.42 per cent, as same on the previous day.

The district’s recovery rate further improved to 85.75 per cent from 84.77 per cent on Sunday. It was 83.16 per cent on Saturday, 82.64 per cent on Friday, 81.18 per cent on Thursday and Wednesday, 81.14 per cent on Tuesday, and 80.38 per cent on Monday, the data showed.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 4,703 new cases, pushing the state’s infection count to 3,58,893, while the death toll rose to 5,135 as 88 patients succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

Of the state’s total caseload, there are 64,164 active cases, while 2,89,594 patients have been recovered so far. The state’s recovery rate counted to 80.69 per cent, while the mortality rate stood at 1.43 per cent.
