Gurugram: Gurugram’s cumulative tally crossed the mark of 18,000 as 314 more people tested positive on Monday, pushing the district total infection count to 18,142, according to the district health department.

The district’s death toll jumped to 161 as one more person succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours, the health bulletin said.

As many as 295 patients were treated and discharged during the day, bringing the overall recoveries to 15,170. The recovery rate slightly improved to 83.61 per cent from 83.43 per cent on Sunday. It was 83.12 per cent on Saturday, 82.93 per cent on Friday and 82.82 per cent on Thursday, according to the statistics.

According to the health bulletin, the number of active cases slightly rose to 2,811 from 2,793 on Sunday. It was 2,317 on last Monday, as per data.

Of the total active cases, 31 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 201 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. 17 are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 2,562 patients are in home isolation.

Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 1,818 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 1,13,075, while the death toll rose to 1,177 as 28 more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

Of the state’s total caseload, 90,884 patients have been recovered so far, while the total number of active cases stood at 21,014.

The state’s recovery rate counted to 80.37 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.65 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.04 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 27 days.
