Dwarka: A 55-year-old retired Indian Navy officer was shot dead by a man in Dwarka on Sunday night. He was into real estate business. The incident happened after an altercation at the parking area of Gehlan apartment.
The victim was identified as Balraj Deshwal. He was shot from a very close range and died on the spot.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Dwarka, Santosh Kumar Meena informed that the alleged accused Pradeep Khokar is absconding.
The Gehlan Apartment was constructed by Deshwal and his three business partners.
Khokar is a resident of the apartment. DCP Meena said, “We came to know that Khokar was to pay an outstanding amount of Rs 5 lakh to Deshwal. However, it is not clear whether the murder took place because of that dispute.”
The incident happened at 8 pm. A murder case has been registered against Khokar and a police team has been formed to arrest him.
