Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar’s cumulative tally reached 11,663 as 244 more people tested positive of Covid-19 on Tuesday, according to the official data.
Also, the district’s death toll rose to 50 as one more person succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours. It was the fifth death in the district linked to coronavirus this month. The fatality rate among the positive cases remained at 0.42 per cent. It was the same on Monday and Sunday, as per the data.
As many as 198 patients were treated and discharged during the 24 hours period, taking the overall recoveries to 9,990. The district’s recovery rate slightly dropped to 85.65 per cent from 85.75 per cent on Monday. It was 84.77 per cent on Sunday, 83.16 per cent on Saturday, 82.64 per cent on Friday, 81.18 per cent on Thursday and Wednesday, and 81.14 per cent on Tuesday, the data showed.
After witnessing the downward trend for the last four days, the number of active cases in the district once again increased to 1,623 from 1,578 on Monday. It was 1,678 on Sunday, 1,840 on Saturday, 1,868 on Friday and 2,004 on Thursday, as per data.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 5,722 new cases, pushing the state’s infection count to 3,64,543, while the death toll rose to 5,212 as 77 patients succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.
Of the state’s total caseload, there are 63,148 active cases, while 2,96,183 patients have been recovered so far. The state’s recovery rate counted to 81.24 per cent, while the mortality rate stood at 1.42 per cent.
