Gurugram: Gurugram recorded 372 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Tuesday, pushing the district’s total caseload to 18,514, according to the district health department.

The district’s single-day recoveries surpassed the daily positive cases as 415 patients were treated and discharged during the day, bringing the overall recoveries to 15,585 so far.

Also, four more persons succumbed to the deadly infection in the last 24 hours, taking the death count to 165, the health bulletin said.

According to the health bulletin, the number of active cases slightly dipped to 2,764 from 2,811 on Monday, after the daily number of recoveries exceeded the positive cases. It was 2,439 last Tuesday.

Of the total active cases, 33 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 209 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. 19 are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 2,503 patients are in home isolation.

The recovery rate slightly improved to 84.17 per cent from 83.61 per cent on Monday. It was 83.43 per cent on Sunday, 83.12 per cent on Saturday, 82.93 per cent on Friday and 82.82 per cent on Thursday, according to the statistics.

Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 1,795 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 1,14,870, while the death toll rose to 1,206 as 29 more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

Of the state’s total caseload, 93,776 patients have been recovered so far, while the total number of active cases stood at 19,888.

The state’s recovery rate counted to 81.64 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.67 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.05 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 27 days.
