Gurugram: Gurugram’s total caseload reached 18,800 on Wednesday, as 286 more people tested positive of Covid-19, according to the district health department.
Also, two more persons succumbed to the deadly infection in the last 24 hours, taking the death count to 167, the health bulletin said.
The district has added 34 deaths linked to coronavirus in its tally since September 1, while it only had 9 deaths recorded in the month of August, as per data.
As many as 159 patients were treated and discharged during the day, bringing the overall recoveries to 15,744 so far.
According to the health bulletin, the number of active cases increased to 2,889 from 2,764 on Tuesday. Of the total active cases, 35 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 209 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. 16 are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 2,629 patients are in home isolation.
The recovery rate slightly dipped to 83.74 per cent from 84.17 per cent on Tuesday. It was 83.61 per cent on Monday, 83.43 per cent on Sunday, 83.12 per cent on Saturday, 82.93 per cent on Friday and 82.82 per cent on Thursday, according to the statistics.
Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 1,986 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 1,16,856, while the death toll rose to 1,233 as 27 more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.
Of the state’s total caseload, 96,347 patients have been recovered so far, while the total number of active cases stood at 19,276.
The state’s recovery rate counted to 82.45 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.67 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.06 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 27 days.
