Gurugram: Gurugram’s cumulative tally reached 19,367 as 279 more people tested positive of Covid-19 on Friday, according to the district health department.

The district’s overall recoveries jumped to 16,357 after 426 patients were treated and discharged during the last 24 hours period, the health bulletin said.

It was the highest single-day recovery of this month, followed by 415 recorded on September 22.

The death toll mounted to 168 as one more person succumbed to the deadly infection in the last 24 hours. Of whom, 120 patients had co-morbidities, while 48 patients had no known disease, it said.

According to the health bulletin, the number of active cases slightly dipped to 2,842 from 2,990 on Thursday as the number of recovered patients surpassed the number of fresh cases.

Of the total active cases, 34 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 199 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. 17 are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 2,592 patients are in home isolation.

The recovery rate slightly improved to 84.45 per cent from 83.46 per cent on Thursday. It was 83.74 per cent on Wednesday, 84.17 per cent on Tuesday, 83.61 per cent on Monday, 83.43 per cent on Sunday, 83.12 per cent on Saturday, and 82.93 per cent on Friday, according to the statistics.

Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 2,024 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 1,20,578, while the death toll rose to 1,273 as 18 more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

Of the state’s total caseload, 1,01,273 patients have been recovered so far, while the total number of active cases stood at 18,032.

The state’s recovery rate counted to 83.99 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.71 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.06 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 28 days.
