RG Residency: Power discom warns disconnection due to pending dues

Noida: Residents of RG Residency, a highrise residential society in Sector 120, Noida, may face disconnection shortly as the developer had failed to clear the dues against power supply.

According to reliable sources with the current Apartment Owners Association (AOA), they received warnings and reminders from officials of Paschimanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd (PVVNL), asking them to clear the dues.

PVVNL told them that they were given enough time but the consumer (developer) had not made payment against the past bills. Now, officials may take final call anytime on the matter, the sources said.

Earlier, the company had disconnected supply over pending dues but it was resumed as residents and office bearers of the AOA had met with officials. The sources said that the AOA took over the society's maintenance in February 2020 and were taking initiatives to make the society a better place to live in.

But the dues created problems for entire residents as the developer had not paid attention to the issue.

They said, “The dues were of previous period while the maintenance was with the developer. The developer told them that they would collect dues from residents against sales of homes in society for meeting required amount of money. But there are flats, which have temporarily been locked. None has resided in these flats since long.”

The sources said that they have been running pillar to post for getting a solution to the problem. But they are now finding it difficult to manage as the developer is not clearing dues. They said that the intervention of the government and concerned authorities are required to solve the problems.
