Gurugram: Gurugram’s cumulative tally breached the mark of 20,000 as 261 fresh cases of Covid-19 recorded in the last 24 hours, taking the district’s infection count to 20,175 on Monday, according to the district health department.

The day also saw recoveries of 311 patients, bringing the district’s overall recoveries to 17,495, the health bulletin said.

This is the fourth successive day when the district recorded more single-day recoveries than new cases of coronavirus. The recovery rate further improved to 86.71 per cent from 86.29 per cent on Sunday. It was 85.60 per cent on Saturday, 84.45 per cent on Friday, 83.46 per cent on Thursday, 83.74 per cent on Wednesday, 84.17 per cent on Tuesday, and 83.61 per cent on Monday, according to the statistics.

According to the health bulletin, the number of active cases in the district have been consistently going down. It further dropped to 2,510 from 2,560 on Sunday. It was 2,658 on Saturday, 2,842 on Saturday and 2,990 on Thursday.

Of the total active cases, 38 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 190 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. 25 are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 2,257 patients are in home isolation.

Till date, the death toll linked to coronavirus stood at 170.

Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 1,630 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 1,25,412, while the death toll rose to 1,331 as 24 more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

Of the state’s total caseload, 1,08,411 patients have recovered so far, while the total number of active cases stood at 15,670.

The state’s recovery rate counted to 86.44 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.72 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.06 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 29 days.
