Noida: The annual general body meeting of Noida Shaheed Smarak Sanstha was held on Wednesday at Arun Vihar Community Centre in Noida. The main agenda was to elect a new executive committee to run the Sanstha and pass a balance sheet as well as a budget for next year.
Lt General (retired) GL Bakshi, PVSM and Major General (retired) DK Sen, were elected unopposed for the 11th time in a row as the chairman and director of Sanstha respectively. Besides, other 11 members were also elected unopposed.
To pay homage, two minutes of silence was observed for seven members of Sanstha who passed away in the last one year. General Bakshi said that it has been a great loss to Sanstha and expressed sincere condolence to the bereaved families.
He thanked the heads of Arun Vihar and Jal Vayu Vihar societies for their cooperation and families of next of kin of 38 martyrs.
Lt General (retired) SK Singh, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, ex Vice Chief of Army Staff, Executive Director presented Annual report of Sanstha.
In his closing address, General Bakshi said that the Vice Chief of Army staff and Chief of Air Staff are likely to be the chief guest for Vijay Divas function around December 20 and Annual Day in February 2021 respectively. He thanked the outgoing members for their excellent work.
