GB Nagar: Parents raise issue of schools pressurising students over dues

Noida: A three-member parents’ delegation, representing private schools in Noida and Greater Noida, on Thursday met District School Inspector Dr Niraj Pandey to discuss the difficulties that students and the parents are currently facing.

The parents’ delegation included Manoj Katariya, Kapil Sharma, Punish Gulati. They complained that school administrations are pressurising the students to clear the dues ahead of the registration for Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for standard 9 to 12.

The delegation argued that many parents are facing tough times due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. They have financial problems but schools are allegedly mounting pressure that they (administrations) would not allow students to complete registration until the due school fees are paid.

They said that it is not good for students if such problems are created for them because there is no connection between completing registration and collection of due payments from them. Parents would clear the due later.

After listening to them, the District School Inspector said to them that if this is happening, the administration should be communicated for solving the problem. He assured to look into the matter.
