Gurugram: As many as 208 fresh cases of Covid-19 recorded in the last 24 hours, taking the Gurugram’s cumulative tally to 20,907 on Thursday, according to the district health department.

The district’s death toll linked to coronavirus rose to 174 after one more person succumbed to deadly disease in the day. Of whom, 125 patients had co-morbidities, while 49 patients had no known disease, the health bulletin said.

The day also saw the recoveries of 243 patients, bringing the district’s overall recoveries to 18,362. Over a week, the district saw a continuous rise in the recovery rate which further improved to 87.82 per cent from 87.53 per cent on Wednesday. It was 87.35 per cent on Tuesday, 86.71 per cent on Monday, 86.29 per cent on Sunday, 85.60 per cent on Saturday, 84.45 per cent on Friday, and 83.46 per cent on Thursday, according to the statistics.

According to the health bulletin, the number of active cases further dropped to 2,371 from 2,407 on Wednesday. It was 2,990 last Thursday, as per data.

Of the total active cases, 23 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 177 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. 23 are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 2,148 patients are in home isolation.

Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 1,313 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 1,29,912, while the death toll rose to 1,402 as 20 more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.
Of the state’s total caseload, 1,15,038 patients have been recovered so far, while the total number of active cases stood at 13,472.

The state’s recovery rate counted to 88.55 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.69 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.08 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 30 days.
