In a press conference held in Greater Noida on Saturday, NP Singh, the district magistrate of Gautam Budh Nagar, announced the revised circle rates in the city.
Flat buyers would no longer have to pay the two to three percent duty in the name of security at the time of registration of flats. It was three per cent in Noida and two per cent in Greater Noida. The order is in effect from Saturday.
It was declared that last year’s circle rates would still be applicable except for those residential plots whose rates have been increased by Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway Authority.
Noida authority had earlier increased the rates for residential plots by 14.2 per cent, flats in group housing societies by six per cent, corporate offices by 14 per cent and IT and ITES sector by 30 per cent.
There were no changes in the circle rates for Greater Noida.
However, Yamuna Authority had increased the circle rates for residential plots by 9.37 per cent, commercial by 42 per cent, institutional by 0.4 per cent, socio infrastructure by 2.5 percent, corporate by 4.12 per cent, industrial by 2.7 per cent and 3.43 per cent in recreational greens.
