With 157 new cases, coronavirus tally reaches 13,421 in GB Nagar
Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar’s cumulative tally reached 13,421 on Friday, after 157 more people tested positive of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, according to the official data.
As many as 147 patients were treated and discharged during the day, bringing the overall recoveries to 11,863 with a recovery rate of 88.39 per cent. It was 88.32 per cent on Thursday, 88.15 per cent on Wednesday, 87.58 per cent on Tuesday and 87.06 per cent on Monday, as per the statistics.
The number of active cases in the district stood at 1,504, up from 1,494 on Thursday and 1,492 on Wednesday. While, the death toll counted to 54 with a fatality rate of 0.40 per cent.
The district now stood at ninth position in terms of active cases and recorded seventh-highest recoveries in Uttar Pradesh and rank 32nd in terms of death toll.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 3,946 new cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the state’s infection count to 4,06,995. The death toll rose to 5,917 as 54 patients succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.
Of the state’s total caseload, there are 49,112 active cases, while 3,51,966 patients have been recovered so far. The state’s recovery rate counted to 86.47 per cent, while the mortality rate stood at 1.45 per cent.
