Noida: A senior citizen got injured during the free fall of lift at Supertech Capetown, a highrise society at Sector 74, Noida on Friday. He got injuries in his leg.
Ravindra boarded the lift on the ground floor to move to his flat at fifth floor in CG-II residential tower. His daughter, Pragya Agarwal, took stairs instead. When she reached the fourth floor, she heard the noise of lift fall. She immediately contacted the maintenance office and sought help as her father was inside the lift.
It took almost 25 minutes to rescue her father. He had got injuries in his leg.
The residents said that there have been frequent problems with the lift because of lack of proper maintenance service. They complained that the developer is not looking into it and due to which, such kinds of serious accidents are happening.
They complained that the lift was out of order for over two weeks and was made operational recently. The residents started using it a few days back.
But it again went out of order due to non-maintenance. The worried residents said that it may cause a fatal accident any day if the concerned authority doesn't pay heed.
