Dwarka: DDA SFS Flats grapples with water shortage

Dwarka: Water crisis has become a common affair at DDA SFS Flats in Sector 5, Dwarka. According to the RWA, the problem has aggravated in the last six months.

As said by the general secretary of the RWA, Mahesh Gupta, the supply has reduced and become erratic. “Earlier, we were getting one-hour supply. But in the last six months, we are getting only 25-30 minutes of water supply. Moreover, due to low pressure, many flats are not able to get the required quantity of water,” he said.

According to Gupta, flats number 226 to 229, 250 to 353, 248 to 252, 256 to 259 and many others are not getting supply of even 25 to 30 minutes.

“The reason for truncated supply is less water in UGR at Sector 4. We are buying water from private tankers. It is putting financial burden on us,” said Gupta.

On the subject, Executive Engineer, DJB, Dwarka, SN Prasad said that tankers would be supplied to the pocket to meet the demand of the water. He also said that the concerned officials had been directed to look into the matter and solve the problem.
