Gurugram: Gurugram recorded 277 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Saturday, pushing the district’s cumulative tally to 21,445, according to the district health department.

The district’s death toll rose to 177 as one more person succumbed to the deadly infection in the last 24 hours, the health bulletin said.

The day also saw the recoveries of 257 patients, bringing the overall recoveries to 18,883 with a recovery rate of 88.05 per cent, slightly up from 87.99 per cent on Friday.

According to the health bulletin, the number of active cases slightly rose to 2,385 from 2,366 on Friday and 2,371 on Thursday.

Of the total active cases, 24 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 193 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. 23 are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 2,145 patients are in home isolation.

Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 1,188 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 1,32,576, while the death toll rose to 1,450 as 25 more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

Of the state’s total caseload, 1,18,258 patients have been recovered so far, while the total number of active cases stood at 12,868.

The state’s recovery rate counted to 89.20 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.65 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.09 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 32 days.
