Gurugram: Gurugram recorded 287 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Sunday, pushing the district’s total infection count to 21,732, according to the district health department.

The district’s death toll jumped to 179 as two more persons succumbed to the deadly infection in the last 24 hours. Of whom, 129 patients had co-morbidities, while 50 patients had no known disease, the health bulletin said.

Also, the day saw recovery of 262 patients, bringing the overall recoveries to 19,145 with a recovery rate of 88.09 per cent, slightly up from 88.05 per cent on Saturday and 87.99 per cent on Friday, according to the statistics.

According to the health bulletin, the number of active cases slightly rose to 2,408 from 2,385 on Saturday, 2,366 on Friday, 2,371 on Thursday and 2,407 on Wednesday.

Of the total active cases, 13 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 171 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. 25 are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 2,199 patients are in home isolation.

Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 1,302 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 1,33,878, while the death toll rose to 1,470 as 20 more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

Of the state’s total caseload, 1,20,341 patients have been recovered so far, while the total number of active cases stood at 12,067.

The state’s recovery rate counted to 89.89 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.64 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.10 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 32 days.
