With 186 new cases, coronavirus tally reaches 13,916 in GB Nagar

Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar’s cumulative tally reached 13,916 on Monday, as 186 more people tested positive in the last 24 hours, according to the official data.

As many as 173 patients were treated and discharged during the day, bringing the district’s overall recoveries to 12,515.

The recovery rate slightly improved to 89.93 per cent from 89.88 per cent on Sunday. It was 88.25 per cent on Saturday, 88.39 per cent on Friday, 88.32 per cent on Thursday, 88.15 per cent on Wednesday, 87.58 per cent on Tuesday and 87.06 per cent on Monday, as per the statistics.

According to the state health bulletin, the number of active cases in the district rose to 1,345 from 1,333 on Sunday. It was 1,538 on Saturday, 1,504 on Friday, 1,494 on Thursday, 1,492 on Wednesday, 1,542 on Tuesday and 1,599 on Monday, as per the data.

So far, the district’s death toll counted to 56 and the fatality rate among the positive cases stood at 0.40 per cent.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 3,064 new cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the state’s infection count to 4,17,437. The death toll rose to 6,092 as 63 patients succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

Of the state’s total caseload, there are 45,024 active cases, while 3,66,321 patients have recovered so far. The state’s recovery rate counted to 87.75 per cent, while the mortality rate stood at 1.45 per cent.
