Gurugram: Gurugram’s cumulative tally breached the mark of 22,000 with 266 new cases of Covid-19 on Tuesday. The district’s total infection count reached 22,204, according to the district health department.

Also, one more person succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, pushing the death toll to 180, the health bulletin said.

In a relief, the district’s overall recoveries jumped to 19,647 after 289 patients were treated and discharged during the day. The recovery rate slightly improved to 88.48 per cent from 88.23 per cent on Monday. It was 88.09 per cent on Sunday, 88.05 per cent on Saturday and 87.99 per cent on Friday, according to the statistics.

According to the health bulletin, the number of active cases counted to 2,377, down from Monday’s 2,401.

Of the total active cases, 14 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 155 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. 22 are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 2,186 patients are in home isolation.

Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 1,206 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 1,36,115, while the death toll rose to 1,509 as 18 more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

Of the state’s total caseload, 1,23,286 patients have recovered so far, while the total number of active cases stood at 11,320.

The state’s recovery rate counted to 90.57 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.57 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.11 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 34 days.
