Noida: The total number of Covid-19 cases in Gautam Buddh Nagar crossed the mark of 14,000 on Tuesday as the district recorded 247 new cases. The district’s cumulative tally now reached 14,163, according to the official data.

As many as 158 patients were treated and discharged during the day, bringing the district’s overall recoveries to 12,673, with a recovery rate of 89.47 per cent, down from 89.93 per cent on Monday, and 89.88 per cent on Sunday.

According to the state health bulletin, the number of active cases in the district rose to 1,434 from 1,345 on Monday and 1,333 on Sunday, as per the data.

So far, the deadly disease has claimed 56 lives in the district and the fatality rate among the positive cases stood at 0.39 per cent, better from 0.40 per cent on the previous day.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 3,663 new cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the state’s infection count to 4,20,937. The death toll rose to 6,153 as 61 patients succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

Of the state’s total caseload, there are 44,031 active cases, while 3,70,753 patients have recovered so far. The state’s recovery rate counted to 88.07 per cent, while the mortality rate stood at 1.46 per cent.
