With 213 new cases, coronavirus tally reaches 14,377 in GB Nagar

Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar cumulative tally reached 14,377 as 213 more people tested positive of Covid-19 on Wednesday, according to the official data.

Also, the day saw the recoveries of 115 patients, bringing the district’s overall recoveries to 12,788 with a recovery rate of 88.94 per cent. It was 89.47 per cent on Tuesday, 89.93 per cent on Monday, and 89.88 per cent on Sunday, according to the statistics.

According to the state health bulletin, the number of active cases in the district further rose to 1,533 from 1,434 on Tuesday. It was 1,345 on Monday, 1,333 on Sunday, and 1,538 on Saturday, as per the data.

The district’s death toll counted to 56 and the fatality rate among the positive cases stood at 0.38 per cent, better from 0.39 per cent on Tuesday and 0.40 per cent on Monday.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 3,561 new cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the state’s infection count to 4,24,326. The death toll rose to 6,200 as 47 patients succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

Of the state’s total caseload, there are 43,154 active cases, while 3,74,972 patients have been recovered so far. The state’s recovery rate counted to 88.36 per cent, while the mortality rate stood at 1.46 per cent.
