Gurugram’s coronavirus tally reaches 22,497 with 293 fresh cases

Gurugram: Gurugram recorded 293 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Wednesday, pushing the district’s total infection count to 22,497, according to the district health department.

The district’s death toll rose to 181 as one more person succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the health bulletin said.

As many as 282 patients were treated and discharged during the day, bringing the overall recoveries to 19,929. The recovery rate slightly improved to 88.58 per cent from 88.48 per cent on Tuesday, as per the data.

According to the health bulletin, the number of active cases counted to 2,387, slightly up from Tuesday’s 2,377.

Of the total active cases, 12 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 145 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. 22 are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 2,208 patients are in home isolation.

Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 1,283 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 1,37,398, while the death toll rose to 1,528 as 19 more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

Of the state’s total caseload, 1,24,841 patients have been recovered so far, while the total number of active cases stood at 11,029.

The state’s recovery rate counted to 90.86 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.55 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.11 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 34 days.
