Gurugram: As many as 264 fresh cases of Covid-19 recorded in the last 24 hours, taking the Gurugram’s cumulative tally to 22,761 on Thursday, according to the district health department.

The day also saw the recoveries of 251 patients, bringing the district’s overall recoveries to 20,180. The recovery rate slightly improved to 88.66 per cent from 88.58 per cent on Wednesday. It was 88.48 per cent on Tuesday, 88.23 per cent on Monday, 88.09 per cent on Sunday, 88.05 per cent on Saturday and 87.99 per cent on Friday, and 87.82 per cent on Thursday, according to the statistics.

According to the health bulletin, the number of active cases further rose to 2,400 from 2,387 on Wednesday. It was 2,371 last Thursday, as per data.

Of the total active cases, 14 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 154 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. 21 are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 2,211 patients are in home isolation.

So far, the district’s death toll linked to coronavirus counted to 181. Of whom, 131 patients had co-morbidities, while 50 patients had no known disease, the health bulletin said.

Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 1,284 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 1,38,682, while the death toll rose to 1,548 as 20 more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

Of the state’s total caseload, 1,26,267 patients have been recovered so far, while the total number of active cases stood at 10,867. The state’s recovery rate counted to 91.05 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.53 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.12 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 35 days.
