Gurugram: Gurugram’s cumulative tally breached the mark of 23,000 on Friday as 261 new cases detected in the last 24 hours, taking the district’s infection count to 23,022, according to the district health department.

The district’s death toll rose to 183 as two more persons succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours, the health bulletin said.

As many as 230 patients were treated and discharged during the day, bringing the district’s overall recoveries to 20,410 with a recovery rate of 88.65 per cent.

According to the health bulletin, the number of active cases further rose to 2,429 from 2,400 on Thursday. It was 2,366 last Friday, as per data.

Of the total active cases, 12 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 155 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. 18 are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 2,244 patients are in home isolation.

Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 1,250 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 1,39,932, while the death toll rose to 1,562 as 14 more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

Of the state’s total caseload, 1,27,540 patients have been recovered so far, while the total number of active cases stood at 10,830.

The state’s recovery rate counted to 91.14 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.51 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.12 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 36 days.
