With 264 new cases, coronavirus tally reaches 23,286 in Gurugram

Gurugram: Gurugram’s cumulative tally reached 23,286 on Saturday as 264 fresh cases of Covid-19 recorded in the district, according to the district health department.

One more person succumbed to deadly disease in the last 24 hours, pushing the district’s death toll to 184, the health bulletin said.

As many as 254 patients were treated and discharged during the day, bringing the district’s overall recoveries to 20,664 with a recovery rate of 88.74 per cent, slightly up from 88.65 per cent, it said.

The number of active cases in the district further rose to 2,438 from 2,429 on Friday and 2,400 on Thursday, as per the data.

Of the total active cases, 14 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 143 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. 17 are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 2,264 patients are in home isolation.

Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 1,158 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 1,41,090, while the death toll rose to 1,572 as 10 more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

Of the state’s total caseload, 1,28,841 patients have been recovered so far, while the total number of active cases stood at 10,677.

The state’s recovery rate counted to 91.32 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.48 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.11 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 36 days.
