GB Nagar records 146 new coronavirus cases; death toll jumps to 58
Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar on Saturday recorded 146 fresh cases of Covid-19, taking the district’s cumulative tally to 14,855, according to the official data.
Also, the death toll jumped to 58 as two more persons succumbed to deadly disease in the last 24 hours. The fatality rate among the positive cases counted to 0.39 per cent in the district, the health bulletin said.
As many as 129 patients were treated and discharged during the day, bringing the overall recoveries to 13,203 with a recovery rate of 88.87 per cent.
The number of active cases in the district further rose to 1,594 from 1,579 on Friday. It was 1,548 on Thursday, 1,533 on Wednesday, 1,434 on Tuesday, 1,345 on Monday, 1,333 on Sunday, and 1,538 on Saturday, as per the data.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 3,099 new cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the state’s infection count to 4,33,712. The death toll rose to 6,353 as 60 patients succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.
Of the state’s total caseload, there are 40,210 active cases, while 3,87,149 patients have recovered so far. The state’s recovery rate counted to 89.26 per cent, while the mortality rate stood at 1.46 per cent.
