GB Nagar records 117 fresh coronavirus cases; death toll reaches 59
Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar on Sunday recorded 117 fresh cases of Covid-19, taking the district’s cumulative tally to 14,973, according to the official data.
One more person succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hour, pushing the death toll to 59 in the district. The fatality rate among the positive cases counted to 0.39 per cent, the health bulletin said.
As many as 96 patients were treated and discharged during the day, bringing the overall recoveries to 13,299 with a recovery rate of 88.81 per cent, slightly down from 88.87 per cent on Saturday.
The number of active cases in the district further rose to 1,615 from 1,594 on Saturday. It was 1,579 on Friday, 1,548 on Thursday, 1,533 on Wednesday, 1,434 on Tuesday, 1,345 on Monday, and 1,333 on Sunday, as per the data.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 3,348 new cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the state’s infection count to 4,36,979. The death toll rose to 6,394 as 41 patients succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.
Of the state’s total caseload, there are 40,019 active cases, while 3,90,566 patients have recovered so far. The state’s recovery rate counted to 89.37 per cent, while the mortality rate stood at 1.46 per cent.
