121 fresh coronavirus cases in GB Nagar; death toll reaches 60

Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar’s death toll climbed to 60 as one more person succumbed to the deadly infection in the last 24 hours, while 121 fresh cases of Covid-19 pushed the district’s cumulative tally to 15,085 on Monday, according to the official data.

As many as 147 patients were treated and discharged during the day, bringing the overall recoveries to 13,446 with a recovery rate of 89.13 per cent, slightly up from 88.81 per cent on the previous day.

The number of active cases in the district dropped to 1,579 from 1,615 on Sunday. It was 1,594 on Saturday, 1,579 on Friday, 1,548 on Thursday, 1,533 on Wednesday, 1,434 on Tuesday, and 1,345 on Monday, as per the data.

The fatality rate among the positive cases remained at 0.39 per cent, as per the data.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 2,234 new cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the state’s infection count to 4,39,161. The death toll rose to 6,438 as 44 patients succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

Of the state’s total caseload, there are 38,815 active cases, while 3,93,908 patients have recovered so far. The state’s recovery rate counted to 89.69 per cent, while the mortality rate stood at 1.46 per cent.
