Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar’s cumulative tally reached 15,327 as 139 more people tested positive of Covid-19 on Wednesday, according to the official data.

Also, one more person succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, pushing the district’s death toll to 61, the health bulletin said.  

The day saw the recoveries of 167 patients, bringing the district’s overall recoveries to 13,738 with a recovery rate of 89.63 per cent, slightly up from 89.35 per cent on Tuesday, it said. 

According to the state health bulletin, the number of active cases in the district further dropped to 1,528 from 1,557 on Tuesday. It was 1,579 on Monday, 1,615 on Sunday, 1,594 on Saturday, 1,579 on Friday, 1,548 on Thursday, and 1,533 on Wednesday, as per the data.

The fatality rate among the positive cases stood at 0.39 per cent in the district.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 2,778 new cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the state’s infection count to 4,44,711. The death toll rose to 6,507 as 41 patients succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

Of the state’s total caseload, there are 36,898 active cases, while 4,01,306 patients have been recovered so far. The state’s recovery rate counted to 90.23 per cent, while the mortality rate stood at 1.46 per cent.
