Gurugram: Gurugram recorded 269 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Wednesday, pushing the district’s total infection count to 24,320, according to the district health department.

The district’s death toll rose to 188 as one more person succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the health bulletin said.

As many as 415 patients were treated and discharged during the day, bringing the overall recoveries to 21,805. The recovery rate slightly improved to 89.65 per cent 88.93 per cent on Tuesday, as per the data.

With the single-day recoveries of 415 patients, the number of active cases came down 2,327 from Tuesday’s 2,474.  

Of the total active cases, 08 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 155 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. 11 are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 2,153 patients are in home isolation.

Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 1,205 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 1,45,507, while the death toll rose to 1,614 as 13 more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

Of the state’s total caseload, 1,33,706 patients have been recovered so far, while the total number of active cases stood at 10,187.

The state’s recovery rate counted to 91.89 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.42 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.11 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 39 days.
