Gurugram records 255 fresh coronavirus cases; death toll jumps to 189
Gurugram: With 255 fresh cases of Covid-19, Gurugram’s cumulative tally reached 24,575 on Thursday, according to the district health department.
Also, one more person succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, pushing the death toll to 189, the district health bulletin said.
As many as 201 patients were treated and discharged during the day, bringing the overall recoveries to 22,006. The recovery rate slightly dropped 89.54 per cent from 89.65 per cent on the previous day, as per the data.
According to the health bulletin, the number of active cases rose to 2,380 from Wednesday’s 2,327. Of the total active cases, 10 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 131 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. 10 are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 2,229 patients are in home isolation.
Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 1,199 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 1,46,706, while the death toll rose to 1,623 as nine more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.
Of the state’s total caseload, 1,34,719 patients have been recovered so far, while the total number of active cases stood at 10,364.
The state’s recovery rate counted to 91.83 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.40 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.11 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 40 days.
