With 294 new cases, coronavirus tally reaches 24,869 in Gurugram
Gurugram: Gurugram recorded 294 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Friday, pushing the district's cumulative tally to 24,869, according to the district health department.
Also, the district’s death toll climbed to 190 after one more person succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the health bulletin said.
As many as 177 patients were treated and discharged during the day, bringing the overall recoveries to 22,183. The recovery rate slightly dropped to 89.19 per cent from 89.54 per cent on the previous day, as per the data.
According to the health bulletin, the number of active cases rose to 2,496 from 2,380 on Thursday. Of the total active cases, 9 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 163 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. 11 are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 2,313 patients are in home isolation.
Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 1,227 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 1,47,933, while the death toll rose to 1,634 as 11 more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.
Of the state’s total caseload, 1,35,858 patients have been recovered so far, while the total number of active cases stood at 10,441.
The state’s recovery rate counted to 91.84 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.38 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.10 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 41 days.
