Noida: With 123 fresh cases of Covid-19, Gautam Budh Nagar’s cumulative tally reached 15,695 on Friday, according to the official data.
The overall recoveries in the district jumped to 14,154 after 174 more patients were treated and discharged during the day. The recovery rate has crossed over 90 per cent for the first time in the district. It now stood at 90.18 per cent, slightly up from 89.80 per cent on Thursday, it said.
The number of active cases in the district further dropped to 1,477 from 1,523 on Thursday. It was 1,528 on Wednesday, 1,557 on Tuesday, 1,579 on Monday, 1,615 on Sunday, 1,594 on Saturday, and 1,579 on Friday, as per the data.
So far, the deadly disease has claimed 64 lives in the district and the fatality rate among the positive cases stood at 0.40 per cent, as per the data.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 2,610 new cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the state’s infection count to 4,49,935. The death toll rose to 6,589 as 49 patients succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.
Of the state’s total caseload, there are 35,263 active cases, while 4,08,083 patients have been recovered so far. The state’s recovery rate counted to 90.69 per cent, while the mortality rate stood at 1.46 per cent.
