Dwarka: The officials of Delhi Development Authority (DDA) and volunteers from Dwarka Forum jointly conducted survey of Sector 7 area on Saturday. They started from Gokul Garden and covered the maximum area in the sector.  

Large number of residents of Sector 7 and representatives of various societies/RWAs participated in the survey and briefed the issues of their areas.

The major issue raised by the residents was poor condition of some vacant plots (already ear-marked by DDA for the purpose of Shopping Centres/HAF etc.) and the residents requested for development/auction of all such vacant plots on priority. 

Further, the issues ranging from encroachment particularly on footpaths, urgent need of carpeting of certain busy roads and service lanes, repairing of uneven footpaths at certain places, replacement of broken slabs etc were raised by the residents.  

The residents requested for pruning of trees, particularly those covering street light poles etc. 

Lakhmi Chand, Executive Engineer; SK Kaushik, Assistant Engineer; Vicky Verma, Junior Engineer, AS Chhatwal, General Secretary of Dwarka Forum; Anil Prashar and Rajiv Solanki, Joint Secretaries of Dwarka Forum; and Anil Nayal, Governing Body Member of Dwarka Forum were part of the survey team.  

All the issues were properly noted by DDA officials. Lakhmi Chand, Executive Engineer, DDA assured to take suitable action on priority.
