Dwarka: The Horticulture Department of Delhi Development Authority (DDA) on Saturday issued a notice against the TV/Internet service providers companies to remove their illegal cables tied over trees alongside roads in the sub-city.

The department has warned the companies to remove their cables by October 25. Failing which, it has warned that the cables will be removed with the help of Delhi Police.

Through the notice, the department said that the illegal cables tied to the trees on the central verge and service roads are looming hazards to people.

The notice stated that the tangling wires are endangering the life and safety of motorists and other road users. It also said that the loose cables look very shabby and affect aesthetics of the sub-city.
