Gurugram: Gurugram recorded 249 fresh cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, pushing the district’s cumulative tally to 25,389 on Sunday, according to the district health department.

The overall recoveries in the district jumped to 22,801 after 296 patients were treated and discharged during the day with a recovery rate of 89.80 per cent, slightly up from 89.51 per cent on the previous day, as per the data.

According to the health bulletin, the number of active cases slightly dropped to 2,398 from 2,445 on Saturday. Of the total active cases, 8 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 166 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. 11 are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 2,213 patients are in home isolation.

So far, the district’s death toll counted to 190, of whom, 138 patients had co-morbidities, while, 52 patients had no known disease, it said. 

Meanwhile, Haryana breached the mark of 1,50,000 Covid-19 cases with 952 new cases recorded in the last 24 hours. The state’s tally now reached 1,50,033, the state health bulletin said. 

However, in a major relief, the state recorded no new fatality linked to coronavirus during the period. The state’s death toll remained counted to 1,640, while, 1,38,351 patients have been recovered so far. The total number of active cases stood at 10,042.

The state’s recovery rate counted to 92.21 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.34 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.09 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 42 days.
