New Delhi: Delhi on Tuesday recorded 3,579 new coronavirus cases, taking the cumulative tally to 3,36,750. The number of new cases reported came out of 56,593 tests conducted on the previous day.
Delhi recorded 2,154 new cases on Monday, 3,299 on Sunday, 3,259 on Saturday, 3,428 on Friday, 3,483 on Thursday, 3,324 on Wednesday and 3,036 on Tuesday, as per the data.
56,593 tests were conducted, of which 14,253 were RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 42,340 were rapid antigen tests. The positivity rate was 6.32 per cent.
Delhi on Tuesday reported 41 deaths due to coronavirus, taking the death toll to 6,081. 31 deaths were reported on Monday, 28 on Sunday, 35 on Saturday, 22 on Friday, 26 on Thursday, 44 on Wednesday and, 45 on Tuesday.
2,186 patients recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total recovery figure to 3,06,747 in the national capital. The recovery rate slightly dropped to 91.09 per cent from 91.41 on the previous day.
The number of active cases in the national capital now counted to 23,922. Among them, 14,046 are in home isolation.
Out of the total number of 15,717 beds in Covid hospitals, 10,568 are vacant.
