GB Nagar’s coronavirus tally reaches 16,489 with 180 new cases
Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar’s cumulative tally reached 16,489 on Thursday, as 180 more people tested positive of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, according to the official data.
The district also recorded one more death linked to coronavirus during the day, pushing the death toll to 66. The fatality rate among the positive cases stood at 0.40 per cent, increased from 0.39 per cent, on the previous day, as per the data.
As many as 165 patients were treated and discharged during the period, bringing the overall recoveries to 15,318. The recovery rate slightly dropped to 92.89 per cent from 92.91 per cent on the previous day, the data showed.
The number of active cases in the district went up to 1,105 from 1,090 on Wednesday. It was 1,105 on Tuesday, 1,133 on Monday, 1,229 on Sunday, 1,384 on Saturday, 1,477 on Friday, and 1,523 on Thursday, as per the data.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 2,402 new cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the state’s infection count to 4,63,858. The death toll rose to 6,790 as 35 patients succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.
Of the state’s total caseload, there are 29,131 active cases, while 4,27,937 patients have recovered so far. The state’s recovery rate counted to 92.25 per cent, while the mortality rate stood at 1.46 per cent.
