New Delhi: For the second consecutive day, Delhi recorded more than 4,000 new cases on Saturday. Delhi reported 4,116 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative tally to 3,52,520. 

The number of new cases reported came out of 55,461 tests conducted on the previous day.

Delhi reported 4,086 new cases on Friday, 3,882 on Thursday, 3,686 on Wednesday, 3,579 on Tuesday, 2,154 on Monday and 3,299 on Sunday, as per the data.

58,461 tests were conducted, of which 15,229 were RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 40,232 were rapid antigen tests. The positivity rate was 7.42 per cent.

36 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 6,225. 26 deaths were reported on Friday, 35 on Thursday, 47 on Wednesday, 41 on Tuesday, 31 on Monday and 28 on Sunday.

3,614 patients recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total recovery figure to 3,19,828 in the national capital. The recovery rate was 90.72 per cent.

The new cases outnumbered the recoveries by a significant margin on Friday. It affected the active cases adversely. Active cases increased by 466 in the last 24 hours. Delhi has now a total of 26,467 active cases. Among them, 15,808 are in home isolation.

Out of the total number of 15,737 beds in Covid hospitals, 10,414 are vacant.
