Gurugram: Gurugram on Sunday achieved the grim milestone as it crossed the mark of 200 Covid-19 related deaths with two more persons succumbing to the deadly infection in the last 24 hours. The district’s death toll now reached 201, according to the district health department.

The day also recorded 366 fresh cases of coronavirus, pushing the district’s total infection count to 27,615, the health bulletin said.

As many as 264 patients were treated and discharged during the day, bringing the overall recoveries to 24,543 with a recovery rate of 88.87 per cent, slightly down from 89.10 per cent on the previous day, as per the data.

The number of active cases further rose to 2,871 from 2,771 on Saturday. Of the total active cases, 2,666 patients are in home isolation, it said.

In the last 24 hours, the district’s health department had taken 2,625 sample for testing, of which, 1,925 were RT-PCR tests, while 700 were rapid antigen tests. So far, the district has sent 3,35,391 samples for testing, of them, 3,05,151 were found negative.

Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 1,240 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 1,58,304, while the state’s death toll rose to 1,727 as seven more persons succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

On a brighter side, 1,46,282 patients have been recovered so far, while the total number of active cases rose to 10,295 from 10,148 on the previous day.

The state’s recovery rate counted to 92.41 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.28 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.09 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 47 days.
