Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar breached the mark of 17,000 Covid-19 cases with 151 fresh cases reported on Tuesday. The district’s cumulative tally has now reached 17,134, according to the official data.

Also, one more person succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, pushing the district’s death toll to 67. The fatality rate among the positive cases stood at 0.39 per cent, up from 0.38 per cent on the previous day, as per the data.

As many as 136 patients were treated and discharged during the day, bringing the overall recoveries to 15,984. The recovery rate slightly dropped to 93.28 per cent from 93.31 per cent on the previous day, the data showed.

The number of active cases in the district rose to 1,083 from 1,070 on Monday. It was 1,082 on Sunday, 1092 on Saturday, 1,089 on Friday, 1,105 on Thursday, 1,090 on Wednesday, and 1,105 on Tuesday, as per the data.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 2,018 new cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the state’s infection count to 4,74,054. The death toll rose to 6,940 as 38 patients succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

Of the state’s total caseload, there are 26,267 active cases, while 4,40,847 patients have recovered so far. The state’s recovery rate counted to 92.99 per cent, while the mortality rate stood at 1.46 per cent.
