Gurugram: With 397 more people testing positive of Covid-19 on Wednesday, Gurugram’s cumulative tally reached 28,704, according to the district health department.
As many as 235 patients were treated and discharged during the day, bringing the overall recoveries to 25,347, the health bulletin said.
The recovery rate dropped to 88.30 per cent from 88.71 per cent on the previous day, as per the data.
The death toll counted to 206 as no new fatality linked to coronavirus reported during the day.
The number of active cases further rose to 3,151 from 2,989 on Tuesday. It was 2,424 on last Wednesday as per the data.
Of the total active cases, 11 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 180 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. Nine are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 2,951 patients are in home isolation.
In the last 24 hours, the district health department had taken 3,240 samples for testing, of which, 2,909 were RTPCR tests, while 331 were rapid antigen tests. So far, the district has sent 3,45,107 samples for testing, of them, 3,13,163 were found negative.
Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 1,518 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 1,62,223 while the state’s death toll rose to 1,758 as eight more persons succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.
On a brighter side, 1,49,451 patients have been recovered so far, while the total number of active cases rose to 11,014 from 10,452 on the previous day.
The state’s recovery rate counted to 92.13 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.28 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.08 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 49 days.
