Noida: To enhance the beauty of park in the residential pockets in Sector 50, Noida Industrial Development Authority on Thursday agreed to develop a fountain with colourful lights.

The decision was taken during a joint meeting of residents and officers of the authority, held at the community center of the Sector.

While reviewing the ongoing development work, residents of the sector put forth an idea of developing a fountain with colourful lights before the concerned officials, who were present in the meeting.

Vimal Sharma, president of RWA, Sector 50 said, "The proposal of adding more facilities like putting more number of benches, installation of a fountain with colourful lights, repairing of damaged footpath, and widening of the main entry gate of the park in block-E has been accepted." "The park would attract more visitors as it is going to have a fountain with flashes of colourful lights," he said.

Residents informed that the officials have also agreed to develop a green belt on a parcel of land which is illegally occupied by many. Sharma said that the authority would first take action to remove the illegal occupancy from the land then it would be converted as a green belt.

Officers have also given a green signal for the development of a local market in block-F of the sector. This would help residents to a have shopping point in their localities. Currently, they have to visit other blocks of the sector for shopping.

Rajiv Tyagi, General Manager of the authority, I P Singh, officer on special duty, Satendra Giri, senior manager, Rajendra Singh, deputy director with department of horticulture among others officials were present on the occasion.
