Noida: Residents of Amrapali Silicon City, in Sector 76, Noida and commuters passing by the main road will be relieved from the issue of dark patch on this Diwali festival.
Noida Authority has kickstarted installation of poles for streetlights. The work is expected to get completed before the festival of lights.
The patch of road facing Amrapali Silicon City was dark throughout the night as the poles for street lights were not installed. It was causing inconvenience to residents and commuters after sunset.
A woman commuter, Rita Singh said, “It scares me while passing by the road after sunset as it is dark. It is also not safe for us to pass through the road especially when it remains dark.”
The patch stretches around one kilometer. To light it, the authority is installing foundation and there after poles would be put.
According to an official, he is carrying out the work, which would get completed soon. He said that once the installation of poles will be done, bulbs would be mounted on them.
